BACKSTORY: Dalkey Drama

Foul weather reminds me of how much I revel being outdoors, if by the sea, in a good old fashioned Irish storm.

“Dalkey Drama” [Dalkey, Ireland – 2012]

While living in Dalkey, just outside of Dublin, anytime there was a strong storm I would often head outside with my camera to face the incredibly windy Irish Sea air and sideways blowing rain. I’d observe the seagulls flying around in the blustery mess, while never tiring of watching the dark waves crash against the shore literally just yards away from the back of our home.

During a particularly nasty storm in September 2012, the light was just right in its focus on Dalkey Island. I was lucky to capture the moment.

I publish to three blogs. One (PinkysEye.com) is related to my lifelong interest in photography, video, travel, and telling stories. The second (PinkyBrand.com) addresses my experiences and opinions in the domain name industry, where I’ve spent the better part of the last 27 years at the registry, registrar, and consulting levels. The third (iq.global/blog) shares knowledge and updates from iQ Global AS regarding SaaS and consultancy services that are primarily designed and operated for the benefit of domain name registries, registrars, and resellers.
