Side benefits from Harvey

Luckily we’re not bearing the full wrath of Hurricane Harvey. Currently (as of 15:00 CDT) we’re a good 120 miles / 193 km NNW of the storm center. It hasn’t been too rough out here 30 miles west of Austin.

A side benefit from the stiff wind is that our front patio has been showered with crepe myrtle blossoms.

So while there is a negative side to this storm for our fellow Texans to the south and east, there is also some beauty to be found.
