Ireland. It’s really green. Hard to believe it was ten years ago when I took these photographs. Revisiting them now. I had the opportunity to move to Ireland for work, and was visiting looking for a place to rent. Afterwards a work colleague treated me to a lovely hike around this glacial valley near Glendalough,… Continue reading So Green

Buon anno!
One of my fondest New Years’ memories is from 1 January 2011 in Venice. I was living in Ireland at the time, and made the quick trip down to Italy with my girlfriend (now wife) to celebrate the occasion. I remember is was very cold, but a lovely time to visit. It was relatively uncrowded… Continue reading Buon anno!
Happy Holidays
A memorable winter scene befitting for this time of the year. I shot this back in 2010 during a quick business trip to Switzerland. It fits the mood I’m in, and my wish for more peace, harmony, and gentle times for all in 2018. This December has been rather eventful for me in a variety… Continue reading Happy Holidays

Day Trip: Smithville, Texas
Renovated, affordable, and gorgeous homes with front porches, rocking chairs, in a tree-shaded historical district lining the usually sleepy Colorado River, barely 45 minutes from Austin’s Bergstrom Airport. From the lovely neighborhood one can walk to downtown where new restaurants, refreshing beverage and loungy establishments, galleries, antique and bric-a-brac shops, coffee shops, bakeries, and what-not are popping up. Sophistimakated craft cocktails,… Continue reading Day Trip: Smithville, Texas
BACKSTORY: FRA Drops
My flight from Dublin was 90 minutes landing in Frankfurt. I sprinted from one end of the terminal to the other in order to make the connection to Beijing as no courtesy golf cart assistance available. Easily a 2km sprint with all my stuff. Included enduring a thorough and maddening random search. Made it to… Continue reading BACKSTORY: FRA Drops
Go Peaceful or Go Party
Well today summer officially starts in the northern hemisphere. To mark the solstice I’ve have pulled out some favorite recent summertime memories—notably from 2016—when I was fortunate to be invited by a Finnish friend and colleague to the northern part of the country to experience the Midnight Sun on the first day of summer, known and celebrated in Finland as Midsummer, a… Continue reading Go Peaceful or Go Party
