Chillin, chillaxin, relaxin, sippin, eatin, hangin, gazin, loungin at Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden in South Austin. Yes, it’s finally starting to get warm enough to sit outside in the ATX area without a cold wind blowing in your face.
This relatively new spot on Pickle Road, just off South Congress about two blocks north of Hwy. 290 has become a fav spot for coffee and taking care of business on the free wifi—or sipping some refreshing beverages in the sun and imbibing the food truck offerings.
The above was taken this week (April). The below was taken back in January when things were just a tad colder and far less green.
I know it looks a bit sparse in terms of guests. Both pics were taken during off hours. Believe me the place fills up otherwise and seems to be an instant hit with the locals. As as result parking can be tough during popular hours and good weather. Plus cars compete for space with the adjacent climbing center and the new Infinite Monkey Theorem Urban Winery. However recently it appears the city added angled parking on Pickle Road so it seems to have eased that situation a bit.

I like their music mix and the food truck offerings. Also their garden, fountains, pond and chicken coop. And I really enjoy the tacos from the on premises Pueblo Viejo food truck.

These were all cameraphone shots. Taken with my Nexus6.
Nothin special. Just chillin, chillaxin, relaxin, sippin, eatin, hangin, gazin and loungin. 🙂
